“I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.”
~John Burroughs
I go to nature for the trees, blooms, hawk feathers, fresh air, owls, berries, stones, creepy-crawlies, silence, slitherers, vibrant colors, squirrels, seasonal fragrances, the sound of running water, peace, to hear myself breathe and think, connection, communion, and to go within. Mostly, I go to nature to restore my sanity and faith when this outer world threatens to diminish both.
