Instructions for living a life:
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.
~Mary Oliver
This is exactly what I aspire to do on my daily walks and here on my blog. How do you define living a life? Remember, it’s not just exhaling and inhaling. Nor is it merely surviving. Those things are necessary, of course, but to really be living a life we pay attention to the little things, because they are the things that we’ll remember most one day. Cultivate a child-like sense of wonder: get out in nature, go hiking, look for birds, insects, and animals. The more you look for, the more you’ll notice, and the more astonished you’ll be. Gratitude for it all will naturally settle in. And tell about it, as Muriel Rukeyser wrote, “The universe is made of stories, not of atoms.” We make sense of the world through our stories, individual and collective. What’s your story? Tell it.

Lovely to connect with a fellow nature lover and writer. Thanks for the follow and I’m more than happy to reciprocate!
